Description
The SCANTEAM 3400 Series bar code readers combine the performance advantages and durability of a CCD scanner with distance reading ability of a laser scanner. They are comfortable to use and extremely fast at reading and decoding bar code data.
The two available SCANTEAM 3400 scanners are the 3400LR which reads medium density bar codes at a long distance, and the 3400HD which reads high density bar codes at a short distance. They both offer non decoded or decoded output versions with interfaces for over one hundred PCs and terminals.
Several models are available to read PDF417 bar codes. The 3400HD is for general purpose reading at close distances. The 3400LR is a special purpose model, designed to read larger PDF417 codes on shipping labels at distances up to 7 inches. Both versions are available with TTL or True RS-232 serial output, or Wand Emulation output.
Applications
SCANTEAM 3400 scanners are found in a wide variety of applications. Banks, post offices, retail point-of-sale lanes, government document processing offices, utility account payment centres reading monthly invoices, shipping and receiving docks scanning packages, and factories tracking work-in-process.
