Description
The SCANTEAM ® 3215 CCD scanner, an upgrade of our ST3210 contact CCD scanner, has improved reading speed and performance for use on poor quality bar codes. It is a general purpose scanner, well suited for a variety of applications.

There are three models of the SCANTEAM 3215. The SCANTEAM 3215 contact model reads 6 mil bar codes on contact. The SCANTEAM 3215HD close focus model reads medium to high resolution bar codes at close distances, out to 2.25 inches (5.72 cm). The SCANTEAM 3215LR is a long range model which reads medium sized bar codes at a distance of up to 5 inches (12.7 cm).

The SCANTEAM 3215 is available with PC compatible keyboard wedge, TTL level RS-232, and wand emulation interfaces. It features interchangeable and replaceable cables, and a comfortable, durable pistol-grip housing.

Applications
Applications for the SCANTEAM 3215 include scanning at point of sale for item checkout, tethered to a portable data terminal, as an upgrade from a wand contact scanner, and connected to a PC for automatic, accurate data entry.
